Ducati 959 Panigale Corse Edition Unveiled Ahead Of EICMA 2017

- The 959 Panigale Corse gets a few updates over the standard 959
- The suspension and the exhaust have been updated
- The 959 Corse weighs 2.5 kg lesser than the standard 959
Before the madness at EICMA 2017 begins, Ducati thought that it would be a good idea to showcase its entire product range for 2018. While we already told you about the Italian motorcycle manufacturer unveiling the mental Panigale V4 and the bigger Scrambler with a 1,100 cc engine, this story speaks about the 959 Panigale Corse edition. As is the tradition, Ducati brings in a Corse edition of a motorcycle which is nearing the end of its regular life and is about to be replaced. Although the engine and the power output remains the same, the Ducati 959 Panigale Corse does get some interesting updates.

The most noticeable update is the MotoGP inspired colour scheme and the type-approved Akrapovic exhaust. Then you also get top-spec Ohlins NIX30 43 mm USD forks upfront and an Ohlins TTX36 off-set spring at the rear. Completing the updates is an adjustable steering damper, which is also an Ohlins unit.
(Ducati 959 Panigale Corse)The 959 Panigale Corse gets the same 955 cc L-twin motor as the standard 959 Panigale and makes about 147 bhp at 10,500 rpm and 102 Nm at 9,000 rpm. At 197.5 kg, the Corse edition weighs 2.5 kg lesser than the standard 959. And then, there is the comprehensive electronics suite which includes ABS, traction control, quick shifter, engine brake control, ride-by-wire and three riding modes which are Race, Sport and Wet.

Now, the 959 Panigale is on sale in India and we do hope that Ducati also brings in the Corse edition to the country. The 959 Panigale Corse is set to hit the showroom globally in February 2018.
