Ducati SuperSport Bookings Open In India

Highlights
- The booking amount for the Ducati SuperSport is Rs. 1 lakh
- Bookings have begun across Ducati dealerships in India
- The bike is expected to be launched in the next few weeks
After the launch of the Ducati Monster 797 and the Ducati Multistrada 950, the company is now set to launch the Ducati SuperSport in the next couple of weeks or so. Carandbike made calls to company dealerships and confirmed that the bookings for the SuperSport have begun as well. Ducati will be launching two variants of the SuperSport; the regular model and the SuperSport S. The booking amount is Rs. 1 lakh for both motorcycles. We believe that the SuperSport will be priced around Rs. 13 lakh (on-road, Delhi) and the SuperSport S will be a bit more expensive at Rs. 14 lakh (on-road, Delhi).
The SuperSport is a new motorcycle with the aim of providing an easy-going high-performance motorcycle that could be used on a regular basis if not daily basis. Both the SuperSport and the SuperSport S have the same 937 cc desmodromic L-Twin engine which makes 111 bhp of max power at 9,000 rpm and 96.7 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The SuperSport gets a bunch of electronics such as 3-step ABS, three riding modes and traction control along with LCD instrumentation and an underseat USB port as well.
While the SuperSport and the SuperSport S have the same engine, the 'S' variant gets a bigger and better Ohlins suspension (The regular variant gets Sachs monoshock and Marzocchi front USD units) along with the Ducati QuickShifter and standard rear seat cover. Rest, the features and equipment remain the same.
In terms of competition, the Ducati SuperSport will go up against the likes of Suzuki GSX-S1000F and the Kawasaki Ninja 1000.
