Every year, FIA hosts the Formula Regional Championships in different parts of the world. FIA launched the first series of Formula Regional in North America and Asia in 2018. A year later, the Formula European Regional came into the picture. Last year, the Japanese sessions also made their way into the Formula Regional.

All Formula Regional Championships
As we earlier mentioned, Formula Regional has five series. Each of these series operates in specific zones around the world. Here are the series under Formula Regional Championship:
- Formula Regional Asian Championship (2018)
- Formula Regional Americas Championship (2019)
- Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (2018)
- Formula Regional Indian Championship (2022)
- Formula Regional Japanese Championship (2020)
Formula Regional Asian Championship

The Asian series started back in 2018 and is organized by Top Speed. Similar to other Formula Regional series, the drivers in this championship also receive FIA Super License points.
The series includes 15 races held across five rounds of 3-race weekend across Asia. Tatuus designs and builds the car for this series. Also, the vehicles are packed with single-make 270 hp turbo engines.
Formula Regional Americas Championship
The Formula Regional Americans is a Formula 3 racing series that plans to expand to Mexico and Canada. The SCCA Pro Racing has sanctioned the series in conjunction with the Automobile Competition Commitee for the United States.
Honda is the official engine supplier for the championship. The cars in the tournament use a Ligier Crawford JSF3 chassis.
Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine

In 2020, Formula Regional European Championship joined hands with the Formula Renault Eurocup. Post that, the series was re-branded as Regional European Championship by Alpine. The series requires eight rounds across Europe on the circuits. You should also know that most of them are in Italy.
The cars featured Alda Romeo 270 PS turbo engines in the last two seasons. For the 2021 season, the vehicles used Alpine engine-powered Tatuus.
Formula Regional Indian Championship
The first-ever Formula Regional India is set to launch in 2022. It is a multi-event, open-wheel single-seater motor racing championship. It is worth mentioning that it is the first-ever FIA-certified championship in the country.
All the racers in the tournament compete in Alfa Romeo-powered Tatuus F3-T318 cars. Prema Powerteam will be running all the cars.
Formula Regional Japanese Championship
The nine best finishing drivers in the Formula Regional Japanese Championship receive FIA Super License points. It is an FIA-backed Formula 3 regional racing tournament.
The racing series witnesses the use of a unique chassis for the drivers. A single-make 270 hP turbo engine by Autotecnica is a part of the cars.
