Honda Posts 55 Percent Rise in Two-Wheeler Sales in May

Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today reported a 55 per cent growth in total sales at 3,55,726 units for May 2014.
The company's total sales stood at 2,29,143 units in the corresponding month of the previous year.
Motorcycle sales registered a rise of 76 per cent to 1,60,295 units in May 2014 from 91,280 units in the same month a year ago, HMSI said in a statement.
The company also reported during the month an increase of 42 per cent in scooter sales at 1,95,431 units from 1,37,863 units in May 2013, it added.
