Hyundai i20 Active Crossover Completely Revealed in Pictures

Hyundai India is all set to launch the new i20 Active crossover in India on March 17,2015. About three-four weeks ago, the company had revealed the design sketches of the car, and now it has revealed it completely through official pictures. Designed at Hyundai Motor Design Centre Europe in Russelsheim, Germany, the vehicle is based on the new-gen i20.
When compared to the i20 hatchback, the crossover version looks beefier with some significant exterior and interior updates. The front fascia of the car gets a new skid plate, new bumper with large fog lamps, projector head-lamps with daytime running lamps, etc.

The rear profile, too, looks different with a new bumper with circular reflector and silver skid plate. Other features like bigger alloy wheels, additional plastic body cladding, roof spoiler and roof rails give it a sportier appearance.

The company has also increased the vehicle's ground clearance to 190mm to help it handle uneven roads in a much better way.
While there are several changes made to the exterior of the car, it also gets a slightly updated cabin. The company is offering its interiors in two dual-tone shades - brown & orange and black & blue. Features like dual-tone dashboard, new upholstery with orange/blue finish, aluminium-coated pedals and partly coloured gear-knob make it look sportier than the regular i20.

While there are enough changes made to exterior and interior of the car, it will continue to feature the same engine options, 1.2-litre Kappa2 petrol and 1.4-litre CRDi diesel, that power the i20 hatchback.
