Hyundai Tucson Four-Wheel Drive Launched In India At Rs. 25.19 Lakh

- Hyundai will offer 4WD only on the top-spec diesel variant
- The Tucson 4WD gets 'On-demand 4WD' function
- Bookings for the Tucson 4WD have already begun
Hyundai India has launched the Tucson with Intellimatic four-wheel drive in addition to the already existing models on sale. The Tucson 4WD is priced at Rs. 25.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Hyundai will offer the 4WD option on the top-spec 2.0-litre GLS automatic variant. Hyundai has already begun taking bookings for the Tucson 4WD across dealerships in India. The Tucson offers 'On-Demand 4WD functioning' which means that the SUV automatically understands when there is need for 4WD to be engaged, by assessing the nature of the terrain and implements traction control on the rear wheels. The engine distributes the power to all wheels without the driver needing to intervene.
Hyundai Tucson: New Prices
| Variant | Price (Ex-showroom, Delhi) |

The company says that the on-demand 4WD also helps the SUV to be more economical along with optimising the wear and tear on the mechanical parts of the vehicle. You also have the option to engage 4WD lock mode manually, resulting in 50:50 distribution of torque between the front and rear wheels. In addition, Hyundai will also be offering what it calls Advanced Traction Cornering Control (ATCC), which helps to transfer the maximum amount of torque to the wheel having the maximum grip.
