Mahindra XUV Aero Coupe-SUV Teased; to Be Showcased at Auto Expo 2016

In recent time we have come to notice that Mahindra is giving a lot of importance to the designing aspect of vehicle production. And the company claims that it is their attention to design that has resulted in success of many products in its line-up. Mahindra's this thinking has led them to in fact recently acquire one of the world's best design houses - Pininfarina. And it is this same philosophy which is now leading them to create their next marvel - the Mahindra XUV Aero Coupe-SUV concept.
Now though Mahindra official owns Pininfarina, according to reports, the XUV Aero concept has been solely designed by Mahindra's Indian designers here in their design studio in Mumbai. That being said we are quite sure that Mahindra did take some special inputs from the Italian design firm for this new concept as it did for the TUV300 and KUV100.
Coming back to the new Mahindra XUV Aero concept, the teaser sketch aptly displays the stylish coupe-like SUV look Mahindra plans to achieve. We can clearly see the impression of the XUV500 from the beefy front end, muscular character line, flared wheel arches and raised shoulder line. On the other hand the sloping roofline, stubby tail and angular C-Pillar bring out its Coupe DNA.
As mentioned earlier the Mahindra XUV Aero Coupe-SUV concept will be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo on February 4, and Mahindra also plans to setup a design studio at its stall to give visitors a backstage look of what went behind the design of the XUV Aero concept. Current the Coupe-SUV segment is largely populated with high-end luxury offerings like BMW X6 and the recently launched Mercedes GLE Coupe. And now, with the new XUV Aero Concept, Mahindra plans to bring in a stylish coupe-like SUV for the mass market, an attempt that we quite appreciate.
