Kia KY Three Row Vehicle To Be Unveiled In India On December 16

Kia India has confirmed its next launch in the market and the offering will be a new three-row model sharing its underpinnings with the Seltos compact SUV. The new three-row offering has been internally codenamed Kia KY and the model will make its global debut in India on December 16, 2021. It will most likely be called Carens on launch.
The Kia KY is expected to sport an SUV-like design and will be positioned below the Carnival in the company's stable. Expect to see a lot of Kia's new design language seen on global models like the EV6 to make it to the upcoming KY. The offering is also expected to sport a larger wheelbase than on the Seltos.

The three-row vehicle has been caught testing in India on multiple occasions
On the engines front, the Kia KY will most likely come with the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel options.
The production-spec Kia KY will be showcased in 2022 with the launch likely to take place next year itself. The model is likely to compete against the Toyota Innova Crysta, Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Maruti Suzuki XL6 and the Mahindra XUV700.
