Official: Honda Mobilio Launching on July 23, 2014

Proving all the rumours right, Honda Cars India has now officially confirmed the launch of Mobilio for July 23, 2014. In fact, the company has also begun taking pre-bookings for the car for a token amount of Rs. 50,000. Expected to be priced in the range of Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 8.50 lakh, the Mobilio will take on the likes of Maruti Ertiga, Chevy Enjoy and Nissan Evalia.

If compared with its rivals, the Mobilio with its best-in-class mileage, generous space and decently powerful engine options will have a competitive edge over others, thus helping Honda garner good sales. One more thing that might go in its favour is its design; despite being an MPV, it manages to look a good 7-seater family car.

The Mobilio will be made available in two fuel efficient engine options: 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel. Both these engine also do duty in the new-generation Honda City. While the diesel engine has been claimed to return 24.2Km/l, the petrol-engined model too is quite impressive with 17.3Km/l.
