The software needs to be constantly updated in the car, but OTA updates negate that factor. This TCU allows the system to access the internet and provide the information required for the user. Many big brand companies have been getting on the technology to improve their cars. The system still needs work and updates, but the system can be handy and make the travel hassle-free for the customer. Security Incorporating as many features as possible with the internet is great for car manufacturers to do. But this opens up a whole new realm of troubles, including cyber security. The inclusion of the internet services act like an open invitation for hackers to hack into the system of the cars. More bodies are being set up to regulate this and allow the car systems to be more secure. Cloud services and secure ways are being developed so that the system updates are safe. More encryptions are being added to allow customers to feel safe. The possibilities with this technology are endless, and people will have to wait and watch what happens as this technology is developed further.
