Planning To Buy A Used Maruti Suzuki XL6? Here Are Some Pros and Cons

The Maruti Suzuki XL6 was the Indo-Japanese carmaker's attempt the enter the premium MPV space. The 6-seater MPV is based on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, however, the styling is inspired by SUVs, and it is retailed via the company's premium retail network, Nexa Experience. Now, the XL6 is a bit on the pricier side. A brand-new model is priced from Rs. 11.30 lakh to Rs. 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). So, if you are looking to buy a Maruti Suzuki XL6, but are on a tight budget, we would suggest looking for one in the used car market. It has already spent around 5 years in the Indian market, and you can find a decent number of options.

The Maruti Suzuki XL6 has already spent around 5 years in the Indian market, and you can find a decent number of options.
However, before you start looking for a pre-owned Maruti Suzuki XL6, here are some pros and cons you must consider.
Pros:
- The XL6 is quite a premium car. The SUV-isq styling with the heavy cladding and chrome details gives it a good road presence. The fit and finish are also quite nice.
- The XL6 comes with a decent amount of cabin space with premium fit and finish and captain seats in the second row, which are standard. The front seats too are well bolstered and quite comfortable.
- You also get smart features like - LED headlamps, LED DRLs, sporty alloys, and LED taillamps. The cabin, at the same time, is equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, auto climate control and more.

The Maruti Suzuki XL6 comes with a 6-seater cabin layout with captain seat in the second row.
Cons:
- The second-row captain seats are not the best when it comes to ergonomics. Plus, you don't get features like USB chargers, sunroof, or window blinds, which could have made it a better chauffeur-driven car.
- While the fit and finish and the cabin space are good, the third row is not comfortable for adults at all. At best, it's good enough for kids.
- Unlike the Ertiga, XL6 never had a diesel engine on offer so, if you are looking for a diesel MPV, this one isn't for you. Also, while the petrol manual version is decent, the automatic version came with a 4-speed torque converter, which wasn't a very good transmission.
