Porsche Unveils the 380bhp Cayman GT4

If your morning's not made yet, well, this news will surely make that happen. Porsche has officially unveiled the Cayman GT4, a radical two-door sports car.
The Cayman GT4 has an aggressive front fascia with a front splitter and mesh grille inserts. The rear recieves sportier side scoops, a larger rear spoiler and a fixed rear wing. It also has a centre-mounted dual exhaust system, a 30mm reduced ride height and high-performance brakes from the 911 GT3.

The cabin is well equipped with leather and Alcantara sport seats as well as a sport steering wheel. But then again, it's all what's inside the hood of this one.
At the heart beats a 3.8-litre flat-six engine that develops 380bhp. It is connected to a six-speed manual transmission that enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds before hitting a top speed of 295 km/h. Furthermore, Porsche says the model lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 7 minutes and 40 seconds which puts it right up there with the greats like the 997 GT3, the Gallardo Superleggera, the Mercedes-Benz SLS and even the 911 Turbo S

If that's not impressive, the Cayman GT4 can be equipped with a variety of options including carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fiber reinforced plastic seats and a special Sport Chrono Package with a unique Track Precision app - among other things.
I think this is Porsche's idea of telling people that the one Cayman will rule them all and this means that if you get one the power is in your hands. So yes, there's a mechanical limited-slip differential between the rear wheels and Porsche's torque vectoring system and stability management but still you are the master of this one.
The engine is matched to a six-speed manual, yup, manual. Porsche is not offering the PDK automatic gearbox as an option on this one, so it's a stick-shift with dynamic gearbox mounts as standard, which is why you would want to kiss the face of the person who thought of the idea.
