Highlights

French carmaker Renault has officially teased its new C-segment crossover, which the company will unveil at the 2018 Moscow Motor Show. Acceding to the company, the new crossover will be a real breakthrough for the Russian SUV-market as it will be the first country to sell this new model. Moreover, Renault will gradually introduce the crossover to other emerging markets. Russia will also be the first country to set up the production and to start sales of the new Renault global model. The production of the new crossover will be set up at Renault's Moscow plant.

Like the Kaptur, Renault will build an all-new product for the Russian market as well as other emerging markets. The company, however, did not reveal much details of the new crossover apart from its debut date. But, going by the teaser image, the new crossover from Renault will have a more prominent front fascia than the Kaptur with redesigned front bumper and a new mesh radiator grille. Moreover, if reports are to be believed, Renault might go for a coupe-ish crossover that will rival the new generation BMW X4 and even the Porsche Macan for that matter, but knowing Renault, the new crossover will be more on the affordability side.

As of now, it is unclear if the company will bring the new crossover to India, and going by the sales of the Captur, Renault will want to be extremely careful, as the Indian market has not been favorable for them. Apart from the Duster and the Kwid, Renault has not been able to make a mark in the industry, but this new product might just be able to do that for the French carmaker.
