Sherco Enduro 450 SEF-R Comes to India For R&D

Endurance biking in India hasn't had a chance to grow and there are many who aren't even aware of the sport. However, there are those who are diehard fans but have to deal with the fact that there are no offerings from any bike manufacturer in this segment. There seems to be light at the end of the tunnel now, for TVS Racing has just imported the Sherco Enduro 450 SEF-R in India for R&D purpose.

It was recently that we spoke about TVS and Sherco in the same breath when the teams collaborated for the 2015 Dakar Rally. Two international riders Alain Dulcos and Fabien Planet, both of French origin, completed the grueling task ahead of them and ended the race in 14th and 25th place.

The Sherco Enduro is powered by a 449.4cc, 4-stroke, DOHC, liquid-cooled petrol engine which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Meant to be an off-roader and tackle any possible terrain, the Enduro boasts of a ground clearance of 355mm and it's not a heavy bike either as it weighs in at just 109kg.

Will the bike come to India then? Well, the chances are miniscule but it will draw in a crowd if kept in a showroom. But let's see what TVS has in store.
