Two-Wheeler Sales June 2022: Honda Reports Sales Of 3.83 Lakh Units

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has reported sales of 3,83,882 units in June 2022, recording growth of 67 per cent over the same month a year ago. In June 2022, Honda's domestic market sales stood at 3,55,560 units, while exports accounted for 28,322 units, compared to 2,32,497 units in June'21 (2,12,453 domestic and 20,044 exports). According to a statement from the company, positive growth during the month backed by favourable customer sentiment has led to the strong sales numbers.

The Honda Shine is the brand's highest-selling motorcycle worldwide.
Commenting on the market situation, Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, "The growth expectations with which we set out in the beginning of FY'23 is gradually turning into a reality. Timely arrival of monsoons has impacted the economic indicators favourably. We expect the coming months to sustain this upward trend as more customers look for two-wheeler mobility options."

In June 2022, HMSI announced that cumulative two-wheeler sales in West Bengal have now crossed the momentous 20 Lac units' mark. Parallelly, Honda Shine family achieved over 20 million cumulative customers in central region. Honda also expanded its premium business network in southern India, by inaugurating two new Honda BigWing outlets in Puducherry and Perinthalmanna in Kerala. The Honda Activa 6G is India's highest-selling scooter, while the Honda Shine 125 is the highest-selling 125 cc motorcycle. In fact, the Honda Shine is the brand's highest-selling motorcycle worldwide.
