Honda Upcoming Bikes in India in 2016

Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India kick started the year by unveiling upcoming models for the Indian market at the 2016 Auto Expo earlier this year. While NAVI was launched at the grand event, here are a few forthcoming models that are expected to launch in the coming months.
Honda Africa Twin
(Honda Africa Twin)
Honda is finally bringing its legendary adventure tourer Africa Twin to India which was displayed at the 2016 Auto Expo along with other models. The first production Africa Twin which was then named XR750 was launched way back in 1989 and was based on the rally NXR750 which clinched the Paris-Dakar trophy around four times in the 1980s. Honda had phased out Africa Twin in 2003, but the company is reviving the nameplate after over a decade. The new Africa Twin gets power from the high capacity 998cc, parallel twin engine good for 94bhp along with 98Nm of torque. India-bound model will feature a 6-speed manual gearbox, unlike the international model which is available in 6-speed dual clutch auto transmission. Honda will assemble the bike in India, saving on the heavy duties levied on CBUs, yet we expect the bike to get a hefty price tag. In its segment, the bike will field against rivals like Suzuki V-Storm 1000, Triumph Tiger 800 series and Kawasaki Versys.

The bike will come with the 286cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine producing 30bhp while the six-speed transmission will transfer power to the rear wheels. The 2015 CBR 300R will come in black, red, pearl white/red/blue, matte black metallic yellow colors.
Expected Launch: End of 2016
Expected Price: 2.5-2.8 lakh
Honda PCX 125

(Honda PCX 125)
Unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo, the premium scooter from Honda is yet to debut in India. From what we know so far, Honda PCX 125 is likely to get features such as smart navigation, smart power and theft proof system. Power will come from a single cylinder 125cc, liquid cooled engine featuring start-stop system and transmission duties will handled by a V-Matic transmission.
Expected Launch: Later this year
Expected Price: Rs 85,000
