- CarzSo launches used car showroom in Metaverse
- Becomes first Indian used car startup to do so
- It will launch NFTs in near future as well
An Indian used car and auto-tech startup, CarzSo, became the first company in the used car space to launch a showroom in Metaverse. Metaverse is an integrated network of virtual 3D worlds and can be accessed through a VR headset. An Indian Express report says that the users can buy pre-owned cars in the Metaverse from models that CarzSo has picked. The company offers various search tools that can help customers find the right car with respect to the budget, make, model, body-type etc.
Vaibhav Sharma, CEO, CarzSo, said that the company is also building an NFT (non-fungible token) based parcel of land for launching an auto-industry focussed Metaverse and become the first company globally to have take the retail auto sector in the Metaverse.
"Being India's first virtual reality and virtual showroom-based auto tech company, it was incumbent upon us to unveil metaverse sooner than later but seeing the traction with which the market is opening, the timing could not have been better. We are thrilled to finally be able to translate our vision into a reality with the world's first auto industry focused web 3.0 company dealing in NFTs and meta land for auto industry players," Sharma added.
Plans are also being made to build a gaming platform on this concept and the company will also facilitate automotive buyers / owners to mint or create NFTs. In addition, the owners and buyers can also make NFTs of their vehicle number plates for trading. Each owner / buyer will be given a unique digital identity. CarzSo is already present on web 2.0 and uses virtual reality and virtual showroom technology to buy and sell cars, which will be its USP, allowing customers to skip a dealership visit and purchase cars virtually.
