Volkswagen Vento 'Konekt' Limited Edition Launched

In a bid to boost Vento's sales in India, Volkswagen has introduced the limited edition of the sedan - 'Konekt'. Available in Comfortline and Highline trims, the limited edition comes with latest entertainment and connectivity features. The connectivity features include Blaupunkt infotainment system with GPS navigation and hands-free, 3G Internet connectivity and Bluetooth telephony. The sedan features Igo-Navtech maps for navigation, a 7-inch TFT touchscreen colour display and USB connectivity and iPod/ iPhone compatibility into the centre console.

The rear-seat entertainment system features an Android-powered Bluetooth-enabled 8-inch Blaupunkt tablet with 3G-compatibility, Wi-Fi capability and twin-SIM functionality. The rear seat occupants can enjoy 16 channels of live television, Internet radio, weather updates and live stock market feeds on the tablet. It features social media apps like Facebook and Twitter, video calling facility with a 3G data connection, Google Maps for navigation and a Volkswagen app for locating the nearest VW dealership/ service centre. Leatherette seat covers, 'Konekt' badging on the boot and the scuff plates are the additional features with the Vento Konekt.

Speaking at the launch of the limited edition Vento Konekt, Mr. Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said "With their fast-paced, active lifestyles, our customers demand seamless, 24x7 connectivity and digital entertainment in their car. The Vento Konekt fully addresses this requirement; The package offers the latest in GPS navigation, Bluetooth telephony and social network connectivity. The Android-powered tablet at the rear also means that dozens of useful apps and games are never more than a click away. We're sure that our customers will quite enjoy the Vento Konekt experience."
