2014 Mercedes CLS 350 Launched at Rs 89.9 Lakh

It was only two weeks ago that the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class facelift was revealed and we were expecting the comany to roll out the updated car in India. But, the company has instead launched a slightly updated 2014 model in India at a compartively cheaper price, possibly with an objective to clear the old stocks.
The company has priced the 2014 CLS 350 at Rs 89.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it about Rs 13 lakh cheaper than the phased out model. The only exterior changes given to the car are a new diamond silver colour shade and new 18 inch alloy wheels.

The cabin now gets a 3-D display instrument cluster, multifunction steering wheel fused with gear-shift paddles, and a Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround system with 14 speakers, a sub-woofer, 9-channel DSP amplifier.
Powering the CLS 350 is the same 3498cc, V6 petrol engine that also did duty on its predecessor. Delivering 370Nm of torque, the car can go from 0 - 100Km/h in 6.1 seconds, and offers an electronically limited top-speed of 250Km/h.
Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, "CLS-Class is a perfect embodiment of modern sense of status and sensual shapes. With its exciting design and refined sportiness, the model year 2014 CLS offers highest level of exclusivity, ride comfort and safety that is second to none."
He further added, "Mercedes-Benz combines timeless elegance with expressive design like almost no other car. The fascinating new Diamond Silver colour, plush interiors and an attractive introductory price in its segment makes CLS a compelling choice to our discerning customers in India."
