2016 Delhi Auto Expo: Organisers Expect Around Six Lakh Visitors

The 2016 Delhi Auto Expo is just a couple of months away, and the excitement is already getting bigger with each day. Currently Asia's largest auto show, the Delhi Auto Expo has been jointly organised by SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturer), ACMA (Automotive Components Manufacturers Association) and CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) and will be held between the 5th-9th February 2016. According to recent updates from the organisers, it is believed that the 2016 Auto Expo will around six lakh visitors this time.

The expo, as usual will be held at the India Expo Mart Limited (IEML) and to accommodate this massive crowd, which is 20% more than last time, organisers have increased the gross indoor exhibition space to 68,000 sqms. The venue has gone through some major makeovers to cater to all the essential requirement of the auto makers and manufacturer that are going to participate. Organisers have constructed six new large halls with additional carpet area of 37240 sqms.
Coming to the participants that are going to be a part of the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, we'll be seeing some of the major auto brands from India as well as global markets. Some of the participants that you will be seeing at the 2016 Expo are - Audi India, BMW India, Datsun, Fiat India, Ford India, General Motors, Honda Cars India, Hyundai India, Isuzu India, Jaguar Land Rover, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki India, Mercedes-Benz India, Nissan India, Renault India, Tata Motors, Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Volkswagen India.

As for the two-wheeler manufacturers, you'll be able to see the works of - Hero MotoCorp, Yamaha Motors India, Mahindra 2 Wheelers, Piaggio, Suzuki Motorcycles India, Triumph Motorcycles India, TVS Motor Co. On the other hand in the commercial vehicle category we have Ashok Leyland, VE Commercial Vehicles, Scania Commercial Vehicles and SML Isuzu.
This edition of the Delhi Auto Expo will also see some new auto brands displaying their vehicles and technologies like - the Abarth, BMW Motorrad, Jeep, DSK Benelli, Indian Motorcycles and others. As for the ones who might give a miss to the 2016 Auto Expo, we have - Bajaj Auto, Royal Enfield, Harley-Davidson, Volvo India and few others.
The registration and online bookings for the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo have already started for the people at large. Interestingly victors can now book their tickets not only from the expo's official website, but also from Book My Show. The tickets have been priced at Rs. 600 for business hours (10 AM to 1 PM), Rs. 300 for general public hours (1 PM to 6 PM) and Rs. 400 for weekends (10 AM to 7 PM). Buyers can either opt for home delivery of collect the tickets from the venue itself.
