Aston Martin Reveals the DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo at Goodwood

Aston Martin had teased the DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo only a couple of days back, and has now introduced it at the ongoing Goodwood Festival of Speed. Furthermore, the car will make its virtual debut next month in the Gran Turismo 6 game.
The Design Prototype 100 represents Aston Martin's virtual offering for Gran Turismo 6 and was developed in-house over the course of six months. So it comes as no surprise, that it looks quite dramatic and is a far cry from the usual designs that come out of the Aston Martin stable.
Despite the radical styling, one can't help but observe the One-77 and CC100 influences adapted for the Gran Turismo world. Marek Reichman, Design director, said, "Since we had to create the DP-100 for the virtual world, we were able to extend our boundaries and think creatively. The effort got translated into what you see in front of you and mind you this isn't just a design study."
The DP-100 receives a mid-engine layout and comes equipped with a twin-turbo V12 engine which delivers 800bhp, enough to blow anyone's mind away. The virtual concept is exceptionally detailed, with a fully-functioning suspension system, state-of-the-art electronics and active aerodynamics that support the car's function within the game.
Starting next month, the Aston Martin DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo will be available as a free download in Gran Turismo 6.
