It isn't easy to digest the look that Aston Martin has given the V8 Vantage N430. I understand the fact that they found inspiration from the CC100 Speedster concept, but really, the yellow surrounds on the front grille just make it look like, it put it there for fear of sunburn.
However, Aston Martin has a different take on it. It says that "pure, unadulterated fun is what lies at the heart of the new Aston Martin V8 Vantage N430". Let us see how?
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage N430 comes with carbon fibre and Kevlar seats as standard and the ten-spoke forged alloy wheels in new graphite painted finish - together yielding a weight saving of 20 kg.
The N430's front mid-mounted, 4.7-litre, all-alloy, quad overhead cam, dry-sumped V8 engine which churns out 430bhp, equal to the V8 Vantage S. No wonder it can do 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds and tops out at 305 km/h.
Ian Minards, Director of Product Development at Aston Martin, said of the new car: "N430 is all about bringing track-honed excitement to the road in an accessible, emotionally engaging, and authentically 'analogue' way. The dynamic exhilaration of Vantage is the perfect complement to the eye-catching looks of the N430."
The power feeds the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox; with the option of a close-ratio seven-speed Sportshif II automated manual transmission.
Countless hours testing at circuits around the globe, including the Nurburgring's Nordschleife which is home to a dedicated Aston Martin Test Centre, have delivered the N430.
Inside, the N430 gets black magnesium paddle-shifts or carbon fibre gearshift surround; contemporary driver instrument panel; black anodised rotaries; leather steering wheel with contrasting on-centre stitch feature (or Alcantara with matching stitch); seat and door inserts in technical PlisseAlcantara - indented leather on Roadster models - and unique seat trim patterns.
Aston Martin has left no stone unturned on this one and have given it all the luxury you can afford. No wonder they say that the N430 is a car 'honed on the track to excel on the road'.
