Auto Expo 2016: Honda Cars India Reveals Its Line-Up

Japanese auto major Honda's Indian arm Honda Cars India Ltd. today announced its entire line-up for the upcoming Auto Expo 2016. The carmaker has revealed that it will be showcasing array of both production and concept cars at this year's Auto Expo and two major highlights of the line-up will be the McLaren Honda MP4-30 and the Honda BR-V compact SUV, which is set to make its national premiere in India.
Honda BR-V

As mentioned earlier one of the major highlights of the display will be the all-new Honda BR-V compact SUV or as Honda likes to call it Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV). McLaren Honda MP4-30

While it is true that the Honda BR-V will be one of the major highlights for Honda this year, the real showstopper will be the racing machine McLaren Honda MP4-30. This Formula One car was the first one to be built by McLaren since the MP4/7A-which contested the 1992 season-to be powered by a Honda engine, known as the RA615H Hybrid.
New Generation Honda Accord

Apart from BR-V, Honda Cars India will also showcase the new generation Honda Accord which is set to make its comeback in India that too with a hybrid engine. The car is powered by a 2-litre, 16-valve i-VTEC petrol engine that's mated to the electric motor which derives power from the on-board lithium-ion battery. The petrol unit churns out 141bhp, but the system's combined output is a 196bhp with a generous 306Nm of torque. The transmission is an electronic CVT, which is designed to handle all that torque.
