Ducati to Set Up Riding School and Owners Group in India

Building on the success of its India re-entry, Ducati is now looking to grow its customer connect with the setting up of a riding school for owners and enthusiasts. The Ducati Riding Experience (DRE) is a global program that began in 2003 to help riders improve their road riding and track skills with Ducati's latest range of motorcycles. From learning on a course dedicated to the new Multistrada to picking up track skills on the Panigale with Ducati champions, the Ducati riding school is expected to launch in our country later this year.

Ravi Avalur, MD, Ducati India says, "We want to set up a riding school. I will say it's work in progress. We are moving slowly but steadily. Question is finding the right venues, training the right instructors so I can't put a precise timeline to that but I would say very soon."

Also in the pipeline for India is the Desmo Owners Club - a dedicated group of Ducati customers worldwide. Some owners club privileges include a chance to participate at discounted rates in events such as World Ducati Week (WDW), the Ducati Riding Experience (DRE) riding school, motorcycle trade shows like EICMA, free guided tours of the Ducati factory and museum, and continuous Ducati-related surprises.
The company is also expanding its dealer network in India and plans on increasing it from 4 to 8 by the end of this year with new cities like Pune and Cochin in the works.

Ravi says,"We are planning a road show program for India where we take our bikes to the far corners of the country, towns to showcase the products where it may not be feasible to have a dealership yet but where there's certainly Ducati enthusiasts."
With the Diavel and the Scrambler among the top sellers for India, Ducati has lined up the new Multistrada next.
