It's not the first time that Elon Musk has mentioned that a pickup truck is in the making. In fact it has been mentioned before that the pickup would merely be a smaller version of Tesla's semi, but the details of the pickup truck haven't been revealed as of yet. However, Musk mentioned in his tweet that the pickup truck will "have dual motor all-wheel drive w crazy torque & a suspension that dynamically adjusts for load."
Just like on the Model S and the Model X, the dual motor powertrain will be standard on the truck. In addition, the ride is said to be quite sizable, and come outfitted with Tesla's autopilot. There's a bit more to add as Musk mentions that the pickup truck will be able to parallel park automatically and have 360 degree cameras and sonar. The rendering of the pickup truck had highlighted a bed big enough to haul a Ford F-150 SuperCrew. But Musk went on to say that the Tesla pickup truck could be slightly larger than an F-150. Mind you this might turn out to be yet another gamechanger.
