The Hero Xpulse 200 has proven to be a sleeper hit amongst budget conscious adventure riding enthusiasts. It is a capable machine and perhaps your best bet to learn riding off-road. Recently, ace rally rider CS Santosh put up a post on Instagram which said, "We @jrodrigues_dk27 and me are very excited to introduce you to something very cool and new coming your way soon!! Very soon"! He and his teammate at Hero MotoSports, Joaquim Rodridgues are seen aboard the newly launched Hero Xpulse 200 4V. It could be that they are in Ladakh, shooting a new commercial or a video with the Hero Xpulse 200 4V or it could be something else entirely, whatever the case may be, it is always a delight to see the likes of CS Santosh flying through the air on a rally-prepped motorcycle.

Hero MotoCorp launched the updated Hero Xpulse 200 4V in India a few weeks ago, with it being priced at Rs. 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Hero XPulse 200 4V gets four-valve technology along with a host of other upgrades. The 199.6 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine now gets a four-valve head, making 18.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 17.35 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. In comparison, the two-valve version of the same engine develops 17.8 bhp and 16.45 Nm of peak torque. Power goes up by six per cent and torque by five per cent.

The company also says the gearbox has been updated with revised gear ratios for better tractability and acceleration. Hero also says the updates help reduce vibrations at a minimum on the motorcycle. The 2022 Hero XPulse 200 4V also comes with three new colour schemes - Trail Blue, Blitz Blue, and Red Raid. The switchgear also sees an update with the addition of an integrated starter and engine cut-off switch.
