Hyundai Elite i20 Receives Over 40,000 Bookings in 2 Months

Launched in the second half of September 2014, the Elite i20 is turning out to be quite a successful product for Hyundai India. The company has already received over 40,000 bookings for the car within 2 months of its launch. Interestingly, the Elite i20, was launched at a higher price than the old model, but the company is selling it in almost double numbers now. Whereas, the old i20's sales at one point of time came down to 3,500-4,000 units, which with the Elite i20 went double at 8092 units in September alone. In October too, we are sure that Hyundai must have sold over 9,000 units of the premium hatchback.

Three factors that make the Elite i20 an overall great package are - an all-new design, a feature-loaded cabin and improved ride & handling. The new-model of the hatchback is based on Hyundai's 'Fluidic Sculpture 2.0' design philosophy that makes it look completely different from the old model. The front fascia of the car has Hyundai's new signature hexagonal grille and a new thin horizontal strip meeting the head-lamps. The rear profile too looks completely different, thanks to the boomerang shaped tail-lights and new wrap-around windows. The side profile too looks refreshing with the dark treatment of the C-pillar.
The cabin too is now more spacious, feature-rich and sportier than that of the old model. In order to improve car's ride & handling aspect, Hyundai has also tweaked it mechanically.
