- Hyundai Tucson SUV is finally coming to India
- Hyundai eyes tapping into sub-compact SUV segment with Carlino
- New-gen Elantra will come around festive season
Riding high on the success of Creta SUV, Hyundai India is gearing up to bring new cars in the domestic market. Rolling out diverse products in the last few years including Hyundai Grand i10, Hyundai Elite i20 and Hyundai Creta, the company is now eyeing to tap into new segments and strengthen its grip in the entry level space. To give a better idea of what Hyundai has up its sleeve we bring you the list of Hyundai’s upcoming cars slated to launch in next two years.
1) Hyundai Eon Facelift
Launched in 2011, Korean carmaker's modish looking budget car, Hyundai EON will undergo a facelift. Mechanically, the small car will remain unchanged deriving power from the same set of engines including a 800cc unit and a 1.0 litre, three cylinder engine. Expect a lot of cosmetic changes as Eon may sport Hyundai’s new Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. With the competition heating up in the segment, Hyundai may also mull over to add an autobox to Eon’s range just like its arch rival Maruti Alto K10.
Expected Launch: October 2016
Expected Price: Rs 3 lakh to Rs 4.5 lakh
2) New-Gen Hyundai Elantra
There is a lot to expect from the sixth generation Hyundai Elantra in terms of performance and looks. Dimensionally, it measures same as the 5th gen model, yet it appears bigger probably because it has lost all the curves and the signature hexagonal front grille present in the predecessor. Previewed at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, the US spec model houses a 2.0 litre petrol engine good for 147bhp and 179Nm which could also be introduced in India along with a reworked version of the current 1.6 litre diesel engine. Inside the cabin, expect features such as Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 7inch touchscreen with navigation to name a few.
Expected Launch: Festive season
Expected Price: Rs 15 lakh to Rs 18 lakh

Engine set up and transmission options are likely to be same as that of Verna sedan.

6) Hyundai Carlino
(Hyundai Carlino Concept)
