India Has Achieved 10% Ethanol Blending In Petrol 5 Months Ahead Of Target: PM Modi

Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India recently announced that they have achieved 10 per cent ethanol blending in petrol. Tweeting about the achievement, Modi said the task was completed five months ahead of the November 2022 target. Ethanol blending is the process of blending ethyl alcohol, which is at least 99 per cent pure and is derived from agricultural products, exclusively with petrol. Apart from reduced carbon emissions, this can also help increase energy security, self-reliance, better use of damaged food grains, increased farmers' incomes, and greater investment opportunities.
