KKR Captain Shreyas Iyer Brings Home The Mercedes-AMG G63 Worth Rs. 2.55 Crore

- The Mercedes-AMG G63 is Shreyas Iyer's newest possession
- Shreyas Iyer was recently selected for the national cricket team
- Iyer also owns a Lamborghini Huracan Evo and an Audi S5
Ace cricketer and Captain for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Shreyas Iyer was recently selected for the national cricket team and what better way to celebrate the milestone than bringing a new car home. And Iyer has done it in quite the style with the Mercedes-AMG G63. The AMG-tuned G-Wagen is an icon and is also priced like one at Rs. 2.55 crore (ex-showroom). The new AMG G63 was recently delivered to the cricketer by a Mumbai-based dealership, images of which are going viral online. Iyer was among the highest-paid players in IPL this season and joined KKR for Rs. 12.25 crore. This season, he also led KKR but had a below-average run with the Shah Rukh Khan-owned team finishing seventh on the points table.

The Mercedes-AMG G63 is a behemoth in size and performance. It's powered by a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo V8 engine that belts out 577 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 850 Nm of peak torque available between 2,500 and 3,500rpm. Despite weighing well over two tonnes, the SUV can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds while the top speed is rated at 240 kmph. While those numbers may seem on par with a sports car, the G 63 AMG is also capable off-roader capable to tackle some of the most challenging terrains. However, we don't think Iyer will be going on too many off-road excursions with the G.

Going by the skipper's Instagram handle, Iyer loves "fast cars" apart from movies and sushi. His garage certainly stands testimony to that with a red Lamborghini Huracan Evo and an Audi S5 also part of his garage. On the work front, Iyer will be seen in the five-match T20 series against South Africa that starts later this month. He is also part of the national team for the one-off test match against England scheduled in early July.
