Lexus NX 300h Deliveries Begin In India

In December last year Lexus, the luxury arm of Japanese auto giant Toyota, launched the NX 300h hybrid SUV in India for a starting price of Rs. 53.18 lakh (ex-showroom India), while the NX 300h F-Sport retails at Rs. 55.58 lakh (ex-showroom India). Today, the company announced that the deliveries for the NX 300h hybrid SUV has commenced in signature Lexus style, as the NX 300h hybrid SUV makes way to its new owners on flatbeds allowing owners to be the first to put miles on their car, which comes to them with a full tank of fuel. Moreover, March also marks the completion of Lexus' first year of sales operations in India.

P B Venugopal, President, Lexus India said, "At Lexus, our human-centered approach is evident in the way our cars are engineered, the craftsmanship they embody and in the ownership experience which begins the moment they engage with us or step into any of our guest experience centers. In India, we felt there was no better way to mark this significant milestone than by keeping our guests as our focus."

On the company's completion of 1 year sales operation in India, Venugopal said, "As we enter our second year in India, we look forward to new ways to deliver on the promise of 'experience amazing' so we can continue to delight our guests here by delivering the exceptional hospitality that is 'omotenashi' - the anchor of the Lexus brand."
In term of design and styling, the Lexus NX 300h hybrid SUV comes with sharp and futuristic styling like all Lexus cars'. In the front, the Lexus NX 300h hybrid SUV gets the signature Lexus grille and the logo that comes with a blue backlight to signify its hybrid powertrain. Moreover, it also gets LED headlamps and independent LED DRLs below them. The wheel arches get plastic cladding on the side along with the side skirts and roof rails. At the back, the LED tail lamps get sharp wraparound, roof-mounted spoiler and rear diffuser.

Inside, the Lexus NX 300h hybrid SUV comes with a well-equipped cabin that is not only spacious for the front passengers, but also to the rear passengers. With seats reclining at the push of a button, the rear passengers have the option of converting the seats in to a full-fledged bed. The leather upholstery is a smart touch, while the panoramic glass roof, wireless charging, heads-up display, and a 10.3-inch multi-information touchscreen system, all adds up to the premium touch inside the NX 300h.
Under the hood, the Lexus NX 300h hybrid SUV gets a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor that churns out a combined power output of 194 bhp. The engine comes mated with a CVT unit and can run on pure electric or petrol or a combination of both.

In the year ahead, the brand will be focusing on expanding its footprint in India. Lexus will also be introducing new models, which will help the company in taking on other premium OEMs in the country. Currently, Lexus sells the ES300h, RX450h and LX450d in India.
