Mahindra Cites 4 Month Waiting Period For First 25,000 Units Of The Scorpio N

Mahindra had previously revealed its plans to commence deliveries of the Scorpio N from September 26 with the Z8-L variant taking priority. Now the carmaker has said that it plans to deliver all units of the Z8-L from the first batch of 25,000 bookings by the end of November 2022. The Scorpio N had racked up over 1 lakh bookings when the order books opened in late July with the first 25,000 units offered at an introductory price.

Mahindra has announced an average waiting period of 4 months for the first 25,000 bookings though these will vary depending on the variant. Detailed delivery timelines of all variants have not been announced.
Mahindra aims to deliver all units of the Scorpio N Z8-L from the first 25,000 bookings by the end of November.
Speaking on the occasion, Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., said, “We are delighted to commence deliveries of the All-New Scorpio-N on the auspicious occasion of Navratri. We are committed to roll out the vehicles in full force, and our highly automated manufacturing line which was a part of the investment on Scorpio-N, will help us achieve the deliveries faster.”

Mahindra has said that it will commence delivery timeline intimations for the first 25,000 starting August 30. Delivery timelines for buyers after the first 25,000 bookings will be shared after 10 days.

As per previously shared details, Mahindra plans to deliver over 20,000 units of the Scorpio-N by the end of the year with deliveries for other bookings to only take place from 2023. Mahindra has already seen waiting periods soar for a number of its models particularly, the XUV700, So it’s safe to expect the waiting periods for the Scorpio-N to also climb in the future.
