The company has specifically said that it's a service campaign and not a recall since there are no safety issues in the car. The statement issued by the company reads, "Service campaigns are undertaken globally by automobile companies to rectify faults that may cause inconvenience to customers. This is not a "recall" as there is no safety concern involved. Starting 21st February 2019 owners of the affected vehicles included in this "Service Campaign" will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki dealers for inspection and updating the modified software in Actuator Assembly ABS, free of cost."
