Highlights

Peugeot plans to make a Dakar comeback with a Red Bull sponsored car in 2015, atleast that's what the French media is saying.

French newspaper l'Equipe has mentioned that Peugeot is preparing to compete in next year's Dakar rally with a two-wheel drive car sponsored by Red Bull. But if you're thinking of seeing Sebastian Loeb leading the team, well that is something you won't be able to witness. Loeb is involved in Citroen's WTCC team so most likely Peugeot will opt for Carlos Sainz who just signed a three-year contract with Peugeot Sport.

Peugeot nabbed wins in '87 and '88 with the 205 T16, and '89 and '90 with the 405 T16 but that was close to 25-years ago. We still do not know in which categories Peugeot plans to field their car, so we can't tell you if they are going to participate in the T1 and T2 category. Peugeot might just come back and if these rumours are true, we'll see an announcement coming from the French company soon.
