Royal Enfield Begins Delivery of Limited Edition 650 Twins In India

Royal Enfield commenced deliveries of the 120th year Anniversary Limited Edition Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, to its first customers- Rear Admiral of the Indian Navy, Philipose G Pynumootil, and Olympian Gagan Narang respectively. The special edition Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are limited to 120 units in India- 60 each for both the motorcycles, while a total of 480 units are allotted between Europe, the Americas, and South-East Asia markets. The specially designed Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 were introduced at the EICMA 2021 and then were sold online in India in the month of December last year.

Designed and handcrafted by Royal Enfield's team in the UK and India, these limited-edition motorcycles depict elements that are unique to the company and its legacy. Both these motorcycles come with a unique black-chrome colour scheme, complemented by blacked-out components with the engine, silencer, and other elements in an array of black colour schemes. The motorcycles adorn a hand-crafted, unique, die-cast badge on the fuel tank that also bears the RE hand-painted pinstripes. The motorcycles are equipped with a range of accessories such as flyscreens, engine guards, heel guards, touring, and bar end mirrors, amongst others, in a black disguise to complement the overall design.

Earlier this week, the company began simultaneous deliveries of these limited-edition anniversary motorcycles to customers across the country. Rear-Admiral of the Indian Navy, Philipose G Pynumootil, was among the first to book the Anniversary Edition Interceptor 650 in December last year. Pynumootil received his uniquely numbered ‘001' Limited Edition Interceptor 650 on March 16, at a special ceremony at the Indian Naval Museum at Goa. Olympian Gagan Narang took delivery of his limited anniversary edition Interceptor 650 in Hyderabad on March 21. Malayalam film actor and director Dhyan Sreenivasan took delivery of his limited edition Interceptor 650 last week, at the company showroom in Kochi.
