Royal Enfield Himalayan-Based Scram 411 Brochure Leaked Ahead Of Launch

- The Royal Enfield Scram 411 will be a more road-biased offering
- The RE Scram 411 will share its underpinnings with the Himalayan
- Expect the RE Scram 411 to arrive by March this year
The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is the next big offering from the Tamil Nadu-based motorcycle manufacturer. And a leaked brochure has given all the major details of the upcoming motorcycle that is expected to go on sale very soon. The new offering will be a scrambler-styled motorcycle based on the Himalayan adventure tourer. Unlike the Himalayan though, the Scram will be more road-biased, sporting lesser bodywork that should make it lighter as well. The new Royal Enfield Scram 411 is expected to arrive by March this year and we expect the company to release official details in a few days from now.

The leaked brochure reveals the new styling on the Royal Enfield Scram 411 that gets lesser bodywork and revised panels
The leaked brochure shows a number of important changes on the Royal Enfield Scram 411 over the Himalayan. For instance, the Scram 411 loses the tall visor and jerry can mount on either side of the fuel tank making for a cleaner look. The instrument console seems to be tweaked as well but continues to include the Tripper pod with the navigation feature. The tall visor has been replaced by a small flyscreen while the cast metal headlamp cowl appears to have been changed as well. The Scram 411 also gets a single seat instead of split seats on the Himalayan, while the side panels have been tweaked for a more chiselled look. Other notable bits include the urban badge plate with branding and an aluminium sump guard.

The Scram 411 will have a lower ground clearance at 200 mm as opposed to the Himalayan's 220 mm
Much like the Himalayan, the Royal Enfield Scram 411 gets telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. The scrambler-styled bike uses the same 411 cc, single-cylinder, SOHC, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor belts out 24 bhp and 32 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired with a 5-speed gearbox and power figures are likely to remain unchanged on the new motorcycle. The Scram rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels, as opposed to a larger 21-inch front tyre on the Himalayan. Dual-channel ABS will be standard on the offering.
