Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 Image Leaked Ahead Of Launch

The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is the two-wheeler maker's next big launch in India. And while the motorcycle is scheduled to be introduced on May 20, 2019, Suzuki Motorcycle India is also likely to introduce the 2019 edition of the Gixxer SF 155. Brochures for the updated Suzuki Gixxer 155 have been leaked online revealing the revised design as well as technical details on the motorcycle. Suzuki has extended the new design language from the Gixxer SF 250 to the 155 version as well. The GSX-R inspired styling certainly looks good and brings a breath of fresh air to the motorcycle. This will also be the first comprehensive upgrade on the Gixxer SF since its launch.

The styling on the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 is much sharper than the current model. The most noticeable differences include the new headlamp cluster and is likely to integrate LED daytime running lights as well. You also get a clip-on handlebar now, which will make for a more aggressive riding position, and there's a proper split seat set-up too this time replacing the step-up seat seen on the current version. The fairing has likely seen a slit revision too, and the body graphics are new. What stays is the double barrel exhaust that will also be seen on the Gixxer SF 250.

The new Suzuki Gixxer SF is likely to carry over the mechanicals
Do not expect major mechanical changes on the new Suzuki Gixxer SF 155. The current version draws power from the same 154.9 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine tuned to produce 14.6 bhp and 14 Nm of peak torque. The motor is offered in both carburetor and fuel-injected variants, and is paired with 5-speed gearbox. It needs to be seen if Suzuki plans to bump up the output from the same motor. Suspension duties will be handled by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear, while braking will come courtesy of discs at either end with single-channel ABS.
Expect to see price hike on the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF when it hits the market by a few thousand. The current model range starts from Rs. 98,076 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and competes against the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Hero Xtreme 200R and the likes.
