Toyota Hilux Pickup Truck Launched In India, Prices Begin At Rs. 34 Lakh

- The Toyota Hilux is offered only in the double-cab variant.

After unveiling the much-anticipated Hilux lifestyle pickup truck in India back in January, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has now announced the prices, starting at Rs. 33.99 lakh for the 4x4 manual Standard, Rs. 35.80 lakh for the 4x4 manual High, and Rs. 36.80 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, India) for the 4x4 Auto High variants. Additionally, the all-new Toyota Hilux pickup truck receives a 4x4 system for all its trims, coupled to its single 2.8-litre 4-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine option. The Toyota Hilux is offered only in the double-cab variant and shares underpinnings with the Toyota Innova Crysta as well as the Toyota Fortuner. It is spawned by the IMV-2 platform.

The interior is similar to the Toyota Fortuner facelift on sale in India.
Toyota Hilux Engine:
The heart of the Toyota Hilux is powered by the 2.8-litre, four-cylinder, diesel engine from the Fortuner that produces 201 bhp and 420 Nm of peak torque in the manual variant, while the automatic variant makes 500 Nm of peak torque. The Hilux also comes equipped with all drive-assist features including hill-assist, brake assist, hill descent control and electronic stability program (ESP), limited-slip differential, a differential lock. It also has a water wading capacity of 700 mm.
Toyota Hilux Design:
The design of the Toyota Hilux is inspired by the Toyota Innova Crysta and so features a hexagonal grille flanked, but is slightly larger than the latter, along with sweptback LED headlamps and LED DRLs. Moreover, it gets large front bumpers to go with its butch face. The 18-inch alloy wheels, flared wheel arches, side-step, body cladding very aptly maintain the ruggedness of the Hilux. The LED taillights with blacked-out wing mirrors and pillars add to its urban appeal. Toyota is offering the Hilux in Emotional Red, White Pearl, Silver Metallic, Super White, and Grey Metallic.
Toyota Hilux has a water wading capacity of 700 mm.
Toyota Hilux Interior:
The interior is similar to the Toyota Fortuner facelift on sale in India. And so, gets an all-black cabin with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, an 8-speaker JBL sound system, ventilated seats, cruise control, eight-way electrically adjustable front seats, app-based connected car tech, and wireless charger among others.
