Volkswagen India Starts Registration For The 2017 Ameo Cup

Key Highlights
- The Ameo Cup will will be held as part of the MMSC-FMSCI INRC
- The races will be held at Chennai, Coimbatore and Greater Noida

Considering that the Ameo diesel is the most powerful sub-compact sedan in the country and in fact even compared to the Polo and Vento, it was inevitable that the car would make it to the racing series. Yes, the 2017 Ameo Cup is here and registrations for it have already been started by Volkswagen India.
The Ameo Cup will replace the current Vento Cup and will be held as part of the MMSC-FMSCI Indian National Racing Championship. Similar to the Vento Cup, we will see the car travel through all the three race tracks which we are familiar with – the Kari Motor Speedway, Madras Motor Race Track and the Buddh International Circuit.
Drivers who wish to make an entry into this racing series can now register online after which come December, the driver selection process will be held at the IndiKarting go-kart track in Pune. The dates for these selection rounds are 17th and 18th December 2016.
There will be 20 cars that will be race-prepped and will blaze through all the tracks over a span of 10 races. As you know the Ameo is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine and churns out 109 bhp and so, if you think, you’re the person for the track, well, here’s your chance.
