New Toyota Corolla Altis Launch on May 27

After the Etios Cross, Japanese automajor Toyota is now all set to launch the new Corolla Altis tomorrow in India. This will be the 11th generation of the saloon, which was showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. The new Corolla Altis looks more premium and stylish than its predecessor. The new chrome grille, day-time running lamps with LED headlights and tail lamps are some significant exterior updates.

The new generation Corolla is bigger and more spacious than before. The upgraded edition is more loaded with features like reverse camera with sensor, reading lamp, rain sensing wipers, paddle shifters, push-button start, keyless entry, a 7.1-inch touch-screen infotainment system with navigation, eight-way adjustable driver's seat and reclining rear seats.
Mechanically, the new Corolla Altis will remain same. Sharing engines with its predecessor, it will be available in both 1.8-litre dual VVT-I petrol and 1.4-litre D-4D diesel engine options. The petrol engine churns out a maximum power of 138bhp, and will be offered with a six-speed manual and automatic transmission options. While, the 87bhp producing diesel motor will be offered with a six-speed manual transmission.

And now Toyota dealers across India have confirmed that the updated and facelifted version of the popular sedan will be launched on March 15. The launch of the facelifted Corolla Altis is expected to be sombre affair with only a price announcement scheduled for March 15. Dealerships around the country have confirmed that cars will be available in their showrooms on the same day with new prices expected to be higher than the current ones.
