Though the Etios Cross is built on the Liva hatchback, it manages to look sportier and more rugged than before with heavy design changes both inside and out. On the outside, the car receives new grille with guard, roof rails, unique side cladding, diamond cut alloy wheels, fog lamps with integrated turn indicators, ORVMs with turn indicators and rear defogger with wiper, giving it quite a bold look.
Inside the cabin, the revised plastics get a piano black shade while the sporty seat fabric is laced with white stitching on the sides. A 2 Din Audio system with Bluetooth, USB and AUX-in support and leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls mounted come standard on the top variant of the Etios Cross.
The car has been made available in three engine options - 1.5-litre petrol, 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel, capable of churning out 88bhp, 78bhp and 67bhp, respectively.
