Last time around Nissan was at the Delhi AutoExpo we saw a host of models make it to India - the Micra, the Sunny, the Evalia and finally the Terrano. This year things are going to be a bit different. Nissan has witnessed a huge change after they have entered the Indian market and though they have had their share of ups and downs, the Japanese company is coming out fighting.
This time around, Nissan will bring the Sunny facelift, the Friend-Me concept (which we first saw at the Geneva Motorshow), the GT-R GT500, a feature packed Terrano and the Evalia MUV with some more features added to the kitty.
Besides these, the Micra Active and the Micra CVT will both share the platform with the rest of the cars. In addition to the cars, Nissan will continue to raise awareness of road safety in India by bringing its Nissan Safety Driving Forum (NSDF) initiative where visitors can experience the benefits of important safety technologies like seat belts, airbags and Anti-locking Braking System through specially designed simulators.
It certainly is going to be interesting to see Nissan here after two years, as it will also bring the Datsun brand to India. We look forward to our visit to the Nissan camp at the Auto Expo.
