The Hero Maestro Edge 125 was the company's flagship scooter and Hero decided to spruce it up for 2021 with new features and new colours. It remains a scooter whose primary focus is on comfort and practicality. The Maestro Edge 125 continues to get the same engine as before and the performance is likely to stay the same too. It goes up against the TVS NTorq 125, Suzuki Access 125, Honda Grazia 125 and the Aprilia SXR 125. The updated Maestro Edge 125 can be bought without the Bluetooth connectivity option as well. Features

(The updated Maestro Edge 125 gets a new fully digital instrument console)
The updated Maestro Edge 125 gets a bunch of new features such Bluetooth connectivity. Paired with the Hero Connect app, you can use your smartphone to access features like live vehicle-tracking, geo-fence alert, tow-away alert, vehicle start alert, topple alert and of course turn-by-turn navigation. Riders can also access riding reports, trip analysis, riding score and speed alert as well. Other new features include an LED headlight with better throw and intensity, fully digital instrument console and call alerts as well.
Engine Specifications

(The scooter gets the same engine as before)
The Maestro Edge 125 continues to get the 124.6cc BS6 compliant programmed fuel injection motor with 'XSens Technology'. The engine makes 9 bhp at 7,000 rpm and peak torque output is 10.4 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a CVT gearbox.
Design

(Two new colours and new graphics on offer)
The Hero Maestro Edge 125 now gets two new colours - Prismatic Yellow and Prismatic Purple. The graphics on the colours along with dual-tone stripes and masked indicators add a sporty look to the scooter. Plus, Hero has changed the design of the headlight housing as well. The idea is to make the scooter more attractive for young buyers, especially college-going youth and people who have just started working.
Pricing and Rivals

The 2021 Hero Maestro Edge 125 is priced at Rs. 72,250 for the drum variant, Rs. 76,500 for the disc variant and Rs. 79,750 for the connected variant. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. There are other 125 cc scooters in the segment such as the TVS NTorq 125, Suzuki Access 125, Honda Grazia 125 and the Aprilia SXR 125 along with the Honda Activa 125.
