3 Cars Under 30 Lakh With Adaptive Cruise Control And Advanced Driver Assistance In India

A few carmakers recently made headlines by introducing advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) and adaptive cruise control features in Indian cars. Note that even many luxury cars in India do not have these features. Here´s a little lowdown on how these two features work.
Now regular cruise control helps maintain your car at a set speed without regular acceleration input from the driver. This helps reduce fatigue for the driver on long journeys. However, this is not a very useful feature even on Indian highways, where sudden emerging traffic is always a possibility. Moreover, the feature switches off the moment brakes are applied. But adaptive cruise control not only maintains speed of the car, but it also maintains safe distance from the car in front and behind you without any acceleration or braking input from the driver.
ADAS also includes a Lane Keep Assist feature, which is different from a Lane departure warning feature. The Lane Keep assist doesn´t warn, it briefly takes control of the car to help maintain lanes while driving. These two features make your journey smoother, safer and enhance your driving experience. Presently, the Indian market consists of only three budgeted cars to have this feature.
MG Gloster
The first car on our list of vehicles with adaptive cruise control and advanced driver assistance is the MG Gloster. It was one of the first vehicles in India to offer these premium features. You should also know that MG Gloster is the most expensive vehicle on our list.
This full-size luxury SUV also has several unique features: 360-degree surround-view cameras, cooled and massaging seats, particulate filters and lots more. But these features are not all that makes this car a great pick! This mammoth beast also uses a 2WD engine or 4WD variant.
The starting price for this stellar car starts from Rs. 29.98 lakh. Additionally, the top-end variant of MG Gloster can set you back by Rs. 37.68 lakh.

Mahindra XUV700
This automotive beauty is one of the much-awaited cars in the Indian market. You'll be surprised to hear that Mahindra received more than 25,000 pre-orders within just one hour of opening the booking window. Like the previous car, the XUV700 is also a full-size premium SUV.
Apart from the advanced driver assistance feature, the car also offers a digital driver display, ventilated seats, electric sunroof, power tailgate, powered ORVMs, 10-inch infotainment system, and dual-zone climate control.
You have two engine options for the XUV700 – two diesel engines or one petrol engine. The petrol engine is a 4-cylinder 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. On the other hand, the diesel engines are both 2.2-litre units. The price tag for the 5-seater petrol-based engine variant starts at Rs. 11.99 lakh.

MG Astor
The Astor is not only the latest but also the most inexpensive car to sport these two features. This brilliant sales strategy by MG motors led to the Astor being sold out for the entire year of 2021 within 20 minutes of bookings opening.
You'll be stunned to find edgy features like the layered leather dashboard, chrome window lines, chrome-tipped tailpipes LED DRLs, LED projector headlights, shark fin antenna, tilt-adjustable steering, keyless entry, and many more exciting features! These were just a few of the MG Astor's remarkable features; the model packs a dozen more to surprise its owners!
There are two engine options for the Astor – 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit and 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engines. The price for MG Astor ranges between Rs. 9.78-17.38 lakh.

One little fact before we wrap up – it was Volvo which bought adaptive cruise control in India. However, Mahindra and MG have made it accessible to the general public!
