Audi Completes 15 Years In India; Offers 5 Year Unlimited Kilometre Warranty

- New warranty cover applicable across all new Audi models from June 1
- Will be offered till end of the year
- Audi owners previously offered 5 year extended warranty as a cost option
Audi India has announced the completion of 15 years in the country. The German carmaker's India arm was established in 2007. To commemorate the occasion Audi has said that all its cars sold from June 1 will come with a standard 5-year unlimited-kilometre warranty. The new warranty cover is only valid on all models sold till the end of the year.
Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, commented, “To celebrate fifteen glorious years in India, we have announced a segment-first warranty coverage for five years with unlimited mileage for our customers this year, starting June 01, 2022. This is a milestone initiative and we are very happy to offer a complete peace of mind package.”

5 year standard warranty is applicable on all models including the all-electric e-tron range.

Audi India's range typically comes with a 2 year standard warranty expandable to cover the third, fourth and fifth year at an additional cost. The carmaker has now for the remainder of the year made this extended warranty cover a part of the standard package. Audi has said that the warranty covers “any repair or replacement of component failures.”

Audi's had a relatively quiet 2022 in India so far with the petrol Q7 facelift launch early in the year being its biggest highlight. The carmaker is now gearing up to launch its refreshed A8 L flagship sedan in India with bookings having opened recently. The facelifted A8 - like the current model - will be a petrol-only sedan with Audi and parent firm the Volkswagen Group having decided to move away from offering diesel engine options in India since the implementation of the BS6 regulations in 2020.
