Auto Expo 2016: Chevrolet to Showcase Next-Generation of Cars

General Motors (GM) India is all set to unveil its range of exciting new Chevrolet cars at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo. The American giant has confirmed that it will reveal 2 new concept vehicles on February 3, the opening day for press officials at India's largest automotive exhibition.
Speaking with regards to what the Chevrolet pavilion will have on offer at this year's show, Kaher Kazem, President and Managing Director of GM India, said, "Visitors to the 2016 Auto Expo will see a completely new Chevrolet. Our presence at this year's event will be highlighted by some Chevrolet product reveals that will mirror the aspirations of Indian consumers and compete in the most vital segments of the Indian vehicle market."

In addition to India-centric offerings, the American brand will also showcase some of its more extravagant and iconic products like the Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro. Other cars that are likely to draw the attention of the crowds will include the Chevrolet Colorado pick-up, newly launched Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV, and the refreshed Chevrolet Cruze sedan. The Spin MPV, which is likely to be launched sometime in 2017, will also be showcased.
As a unique method to engage visitors and draw large crowds, the Chevrolet pavilion will also offer activities like Passabilities and Colorado Co-Driver. Passabilities is a game made in collaboration with one of the company's most lucrative sports partners, Manchester United Football Club (MUFC), whereby a participant must wear a MUFC jersey and 'play' in a match that will be captured using a mobile application. The participant is then given a short film which shows them passing to and from members of the MUFC team. Participants will also have a chance to win a football signed by MUFC legend, Louis Saha who will be visiting the auto exhibition with Chevrolet.

The participant will don an Oculus Rift headset and take part in a virtual road trip in the capacity of a co-driver sitting in a Chevrolet Colorado pick-up. They are tasked with helping navigate the pickup over harsh terrains that surround the pristine mountains of New Zealand.
In a press release, GM states that at the 2016 Auto Expo, visitors at the Chevrolet pavilion will not only get a chance to see the level of commitment that the American company has for the Indian subcontinent, but will also be able to witness the 'true American Chevrolet experience.'
