Binotto Thinks Ferrari Has The Best Driver Line Up In F1

- Binotto said that his team had the best driver lineup on the grid
- He was also very impressed Sainzs tactical mindset with race strategy
- Binotto decided to not renew Vettels contract and opted for Sainz Jr
Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto has said that his team has the best driver lineup in the F1 currently. The team has Carlos Sainz Jr who joined from McLaren this year and the ridiculously talented Charles Leclerc who is considered to be on the same level as Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.
The two drivers are working together and showing good team spirit which is lifting the team. In the last race Sainz managed to get P3 after Vettel, the man he replaced at Ferrari, was disqualified from the race in the Aston Martin after failing the fuel limits scrutiny.
"I'm very happy for many reasons. The first is that I think we've got the best line-up of the entire pitlane. The second, because we know Charles is a fantastic driver, very talented, but he continues improving and I'm pretty happy with that, he's got great opportunities for a win, the first was in Monaco but for reasons we know it didn't happen," said Binotto.

The Ferrari duo have gelled well together
"And then the other side. I think that Carlos is integrating very well. He's improving race by race, he's somehow a great, let me say, benchmark for Charles as well, pushing him as well when conditions are more difficult, and I think that as you said 80 points each, it shows how important it is somehow to have two good drivers scoring points for the constructor, I'm very happy with that. "And looking forward, I think those two guys will give us great satisfaction," he added.
Binotto was also impressed by the fact that Sainz questioned the pitstop strategy of the team which helped him over cut Yukti Tsunodo and get P4 which was later upgraded to P3 in light of Vettel's disqualification.
With 11 races to go, the Italian team already has 32 points more than what it managed last year. It also has a good change of coming P3, through right now it tails McLaren and is P4.
