BMW 1-Series Sedan to be Showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo?

BMW has been quite for some time now and from a once No. 1 position in India about a couple of years ago, the Bavarian car manufacturer has fallen to the 3rd spot but that looks to be just the lull before the storm. While its rivals - Audi and Mercedes-Benz - have already introduced the entry level luxury sedan in India, BMW is getting ready to field its car - the 1-series sedan.
We'd already shown you how the car would look but these new set of pictures give us a better perspective as to what to expect from BMW. The car was spotted doing the rounds of the Nurburgring and from what we can see the 1-Series sedan has a prominent grille, a sculpted hood and familiar body work. In short, it's got the DNA of BMW.

What we can also spot is a panoramic sun roof, a dual exhaust system and some really good looking alloy wheels.
The company hasn't said much about the product yet but from what it seems, the model will ride on the UKL platform that underpins everything from the MINI Cooper to the 2-Series Gran Tourer.

The car is likely to make its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and we will probably see it in India at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, before its launch here.
