BMW to Reveal 'Heritage' R nine T Range

- The Heritage Line will be unveiled at the EICMA Show later this year
- The new Heritage Line will take inspiration from the RS and GS models
- Despite old school styling, the Heritage Line will feature modern tech
BMW is expected to reveal three new R nine T models under a separate 'Heritage' line which will exist alongside the German automaker's modern motorcycle business. According to reports, three new BMW R nine T bikes will be revealed at the upcoming EICMA show in Milan later this year.
Apparently, the decision to introduce an entire range of 'heritage' bikes from the BMW stable was taken after the stupendous response to the BMW R nine T globally. The new 'heritage' line will take inspiration from models like the GS and RS in BMW Motorrad's history, and will have significant amount of financial investment from BMW Motorrad.

BMW R nine T Heritage Range
Among the three models which are expected to be introduced is a stripped down, base model R nine T, providing a perfect canvas for customisation. The current R nine T is considered too expensive and too high-spec for customisation and the idea behind this bike is to offer a more affordable variant of the R nine T, suitable for custom builders and even for those who will find this R nine T more accessible and affordable.
The second heritage model is expected to be a half-faired S model, which will have a cafe; racer styling. This bike is expected to be light and nimble, and yet provide owners with an easy starting point for further customisation. Like the base model, this model also won't have high-end cycle parts but BMW is expected to offer a host of accessories to customise it further.

BMW GS1 Heritage pays homage to the R80 G/S
The third model will be homage to the R80 G/S model with the design simplicity harking back to the original, but with technology and equipment which are modern in every way, including many rider aids from the R 1200 GS, like different riding modes, ABS and traction control.
