The Hyundai Creta is undoubtedly one of the popular compact SUVs on sale in the Indian car market. The South Korean automaker is seeing a massive demand for the SUV from the domestic market as well as the international market. Customers will have to wait a little longer for the SUV as the waiting period has gone up to 8 months because of supply chain issues caused by the ongoing semiconductor chip shortage. We have reached out to Hyundai India to get a confirmation on this, however, at the time of publishing this story, our email remained unanswered.

Ex-showroom prices for the Hyundai Creta 1.5 petrol start at Rs. 10.16 lakh.

We also contacted some dealers across Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai. The dealers told us that the top-end SX and SX(O) variants of the Creta now command a waiting period of 6 to 8 months. However, the base variants of the SUV have a waiting period of 5 to 6 months.

The Hyundai Creta is offered in six trims - E, EX, S, SX Executive, SX and SX(O) that is further divided based on three powertrains and four transmission options. Ex-showroom prices for the Creta start from Rs. 10.16 lakh, going all the way up to Rs. 17.87 lakh for the range-topping 1.4-litre turbo.

The Hyundai Creta is offered in six trims - E, EX, S, SX Executive, SX and SX(O).

The SUV comes with a choice of three powertrains - 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre VGT diesel and 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol. The naturally aspirated petrol and diesel engines pump out 113 bhp and 144 Nm and 250 Nm of peak torque respectively, while the turbo petrol makes 138 bhp and 242 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual as standard across the range, along with an optional torque convertor for the 1.5 diesel engine, 7-speed DCT on the 1.4-litre turbo petrol, and the iVT automatic for the 1.5-litre petrol mill.
